What is DHA?
Since April 2020 DHA is added to HiPP Formula.
DHA is a very important compound commonly found in breastmilk and important for your baby.
DHA – the abbreviation for docosahexaenoic acid – is a long-chain, polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid. Why is DHA important? Omega-3 fatty acids contribute to the normal development of brain and nerve cells as well as eyesight. Omega-3 fatty acids are naturally present in breast milk. To ensure that formula-fed infants are also adequately supplied with DHA, infant formula contains DHA (in the form of fish oil).
